By these times, the Akka people now known as Urhobo were leaders as evidenced by the Pharaohs Khuvu, Djedevren and Djedakare to name a few. Also, the names of the pre-dynastic to dynastic period kings does not reflect the culture of Beni inhabitants but of Amono and Zevbaka inhabitants. Zevbaka is an Okpe name. The original name of Eve was Hava (Heva), meaning two in Okpe language.-(Messod and Roger Sabbah; Secrets of the exodus; did the Pharaohs write the Bible? Thorsons publishers, 2000). The Urhobo people just like other people of Nigeria and Africa lost their history of Egypt and of the so-called Edo region which they know as Akka region. They left these places due to upheavals and quest for fertile lands. Akka; a name the Urhobos brought from Egypt is very significant in the lives of mankind today. The Story of Akka will be revealed as we progress in this website. It is very true that the People of Beni, Izon, Itsekiri, Hausa, Urhobo and Yoruba have mixed culturally during their stay and since their eviction from Egypt . But another ethnic group which got away from these groups is the Hebrew but there are bits in Hebrew language which have Benin , Izon, Itsekiri, Urhobo and Yoruba languages undertones. For instance: Genesis 15: 13, 16, has the warning to Abraham “…Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years… But in the fourth generation they shall come hither again,” Rendered in Hebrew language: “Wa dor rabi, Iyashwbw hena”. The first two syllables sounds like Wa do (Greeting), in Urhobo. The third syllable sounds like Ra bi (God borns, or deliver's) in Yoruba. The fourth syllable sounds like Iyashewa biwa (Bundage?), in Yoruba. The last syllable, Hena maybe in Beni . You be the Judge and we wish you happy voyage in this website.
